A beloved North County coffee concept is making its comeback in Carlsbad. According to public permits, Coast Coffee Co. plans to open at 2525 El Camino Real, Suite 131B.

Coast Coffee Co. is known for its approachable, coastal café atmosphere and premium fair-trade Arabica coffee beans.

According to its webpage, the brand currently operates a location at North County Mall in Escondido, at 272 Via Rancho Parkway, Suite 9000, where it has continued serving customers while the Carlsbad space was being prepared.

What Now San Diego reached out to owner Eric Woods to inquire about the opening timeline but did not receive a response before publication.

The brand’s Carlsbad location closed earlier this year, with the team announcing on social media that it was preparing for a comeback “sometime, somewhere new in the near future”.

In early October, the brand shared the reopening news on Instagram, writing, “It is almost time for our great comeback. We are excited to return to you all and share our new space with you. Thank you Carlsbad Family for all your love and support, we have missed you all and we can’t wait to see you again.”

According to the brand’s social media, the new space will be on the mall’s first level, just outside JCPenney and in front of the children’s play area.
