J.Crew is making a comeback at San Diego’s Fashion Valley mall, according to a press release shared with What Now San Diego.

The brand plans to open a redesigned location at Fashion Valley, 7007 Friars Road, in November 2026. The store is currently listed as “Coming Soon.”

Founded in 1983, J.Crew has built its following around what it calls “timeless American style,” blending classic silhouettes, quality fabrics, and versatile pieces designed to anchor a wardrobe for years rather than seasons.

The new store will showcase J.Crew’s signature aesthetic, including timeless prep, everyday tailoring, and updated seasonal wardrobe staples, in a space that reflects the brand’s refreshed retail direction. In recent years, J.Crew has leaned into its heritage while modernizing its retail experience and product assortment.

The November opening is part of a broader brand expansion that extends beyond California. What Now Austin recently covered a J.Crew Factory location planned for The Parke in Cedar Park, Texas, as the brand continues to expand its retail presence across both its mainline and factory banners.

The Fashion Valley opening is one of several new and returning brands coming to the mall this fall and winter. What Now San Diego has previously covered the center’s recent retail momentum, including Lids’ upcoming opening along its expanding luxury corridor.
