The 51-year-old Oakland barbecue concept Everett & Jones BBQ is opening a new location on Fisherman’s Wharf, according to SFist.

Taking over the former Lou’s Fish Shack spot at 300 Jefferson Street, the eatery will land near establishments such as Blue Mermaid, Capurro’s Restaurant, and Cioppino’s.

The concept’s co-owner, Dorcia White, tells What Now San Francisco a little about how she came across the concept’s soon-to-be home in San Francisco: “We did a pop-up for a couple of years in Antioch… once we lost that we decided that we wanted to have a permanent location.

“Maven’s Properties had contacted us to view the Lou’s spot… It felt perfect, and we knew that tourism was just starting to come back.”

She shares that Everett & Jones BBQ intends to keep its traditional menu at the upcoming location but add a couple more seafood dishes.

“We’re going to do live blues music, maybe a Saturday night blues while dining… We’re very excited, we’re a legacy business, and we want to continue sharing with the community.”

Concerning an opening date, White says, “We have to do construction, so we’re giving about four to six months for that.”

Stay tuned for updates.
