Black Rock Coffee Bar is preparing to open a new location in Montclair, with the coffee chain planning a late September debut at 8970 Central Avenue. The new shop will expand Black Rock’s presence in the Inland Empire as the Oregon-based company continues adding locations throughout California.
Founded in Beaverton in 2008, Black Rock Coffee Bar began as a 160-square-foot drive-thru before expanding into a multi-state chain. The company currently operates more than 200 locations.
Black Rock’s beverage menu includes espresso drinks, cold brew, teas, chai, matcha, blended beverages, and its Fuel energy drinks. The company also offers an all-day breakfast menu, although individual food selections can vary by location. The company’s current seasonal menu includes three Fall Remix drinks: the Cinnamon Bun Latte, Caramel Apple Butter Shaken Espresso, and Spellbound Berry Fuel.
Black Rock announced the seasonal lineup for September, with the drinks available at its locations beginning September 1. The Montclair shop is expected to serve the company’s standard beverage and food offerings once it opens.
Based on the current plans, the Montclair location is expected to open in late September, adding another coffee option to Central Avenue and expanding the company’s Southern California footprint.
