Mendocino Farms is opening a new location at the Village at San Antonio Center in Mountain View on Tuesday, Sept. 14, the restaurant has announced. The new location will be the 40th for the chain overall and its eighth outpost in the Bay Area.
“We’re thrilled to join the Village at San Antonio Center and look forward to becoming a part of the community and sharing our culinary innovations with local residents and employees,” Kevin Miles, CEO of Mendocino Farms, said in a statement. “As a restaurant committed to crafting new and intriguing flavor combinations, we’ve long admired the innovation happening in Mountain View, and we hope to become both a source of inspiration and fuel for local residents and visitors alike.”
Mendocino Farms offers a range of sandwiches and salads on its main and seasonal menus. Omnivores can dine on classic fare like the restaurant’s “Farm Club” — shaved roasted turkey breast, bacon, mashed avocado and an herb aioli on whole wheat — or go for something more unique, like a Peruvian steak sandwich featuring spicy aji amarillo marinated steak, Oaxacan cheese and herb aioli on a toasted potato roll. For vegetarians and vegans, there’s a dedicated menu of plant-based sandwiches, like “Mrs. Goldfarb’s Unreal Reuben” with plant-based corn beef from Unreal deli and real or plant-based havarti cheese on rye, along with several salads featuring Impossible chorizo or baked tofu. It’s also introducing three new grain bowls on Sept. 14th at the new location as well as the rest of its Bay Area restaurants.
The Mountain View Mendocino Farms is offering a free sandwich or salad with any menu purchase for customers who join the restaurant’s MyMendo club and select “NorCal-Mountain View” as their favorite location before opening day. The promotion will run for two weeks post-opening.
