A new restaurant called Bacogai is coming soon to the Alameda Tidal Canal at 2651 Blanding Avenue, according to a pending beer and wine license found in state public records. Not much is known about the restaurant yet, but luckily they’ve already put up a website and Facebook page, which tease an opening for 2022.

When contacted by What Now San Francisco, representatives for Bacogai said that they aim to open this spring, but otherwise they were not yet able to disclose any further details at the time of publication. The restaurant has been under construction since this past November, if not earlier.

Bacogai is a Vietnamese fusion hotpot restaurant and sake bar. “At Bacogai, we focus on the complete dining experience. In doing so, we want to highlight the relationship between nature, produce, and our cultural history,” their website states.

With housemade soup bases crafted daily and mindfully selected organic ingredients, Bacogai aims to take customers on a culinary journey throughout Asia. Fresh proteins and produce plated on earthen-style wares in photos suggest that Bacogai will offer an elevated hotpot experience we are soon to be raving over. Stay tuned.
