A new cafe and food market is in the works in Lake Wales, at the intersection of East Central Avenue and FL-17. It’s called Fresh Pasta Etc., and according to submitted plan review documents, it’s opening at 1 N Scenic Highway, Suites 101 & 103.
What Now confirmed news of the opening with owner Jean-François Poirier on Tuesday.
“We’re going to have two different sides of the business,” Poirier said. “One side will be a food retail store, with fresh pastas, sauces, and some desserts and sweets that you can bring home and cook there. On the other side we’ll have more of a cafe.”
At the cafe, you can expect to find coffee (of course), sandwiches, and other items, which can also go together with desserts and other foods purchasable in the market. With combined indoor and outdoor seating, there will be seats for between 50 and 60 guests.
“This is a new venture for us,” said Poirier. “My wife and I have been cooking all our lives, and we wanted to share what we’ve learned over the years, and to show a bit of Canada, where we come from.”
Fresh Pasta Etc. is still a few months away from an opening, but stay tuned for possible updates as the opening approaches!
