Located at 107 S Franklin St., Hattricks is known as “One of the Best Sports Bar in Tampa.” And soon, there will be two of them: Hattricks is currently preparing for an expansion to South Tampa.

Plan review paperwork submitted by Slapshot Management Group LLC places the new Hattricks at 4075 Henderson Blvd.

“Since debuting in 1997, the original Hattricks location, at 107 S Franklin St., has been a regular winner in the ‘Best Sports Bar’ category of Creative Loafing’s annual Best of The Bay awards,” says coverage published back in June by Creative Loafing Tampa Bay. “Known as a solid pre-game spot for Bolts fans, Hattricks features plenty of cold beers, TVs, and a strong Irish-leaning bar grub menu—spanning everything from wings (shake & bake style if you’re about it), burgers, shepherds pie and more.”

At the time of the June coverage, Hattricks South Tampa was expected to open “within six months.” If things are moving on schedule, then we’re hoping to see a launch around the end of the year. Time will tell!

“Hattricks is a local favorite! Many consider this THE number one spot for Tampa Bay Lightning pregame parties, postgame celebrations and any special events or concerts happening at Amalie Arena or the Tampa Convention Center,” says the Hattricks website. “When the big game begins, you don’t have to leave! Settle down right here and catch the Bucs, Lightning, Rays and more on our big-screen HDTVs with state-of-the-art surround sound audio.”
