What Now has been following the growth of Clearwater-born healthy bowl chain Kaia Bowls for several years. Reporting in March 2023 covered plans for what was then the brand’s third location, in the works in St. Petersburg. Additional reporting from 2025 and 2026 has followed the brand’s expansion to Ybor City and Lutz.

Since March 2023, Kaia Bowls has brought its comprehensive bowl menu, which ranges from poke bowls to acai bowls, to a total of six locations in the Tampa Bay area, plus a seventh in Lisle, Illinois. Now, it’s preparing to expand once again on Florida’s west coast.

According to recently submitted plan review documents, a new Kaia Bowls will open on Treasure Island, at 111 107th Ave A.

With poke bowls like the Ono – Ahi Tuna (OUR MOST POPULAR POKE!! Tuna (raw), cucumber, grape tomatoes, pickled red onions, watermelon radish, crispy onions, seaweed salad, black sesame seeds, ponzu sauce), acai bowls like the Hono Lulu (Organic, non-GMO and gluten-free Acai and Blueberry flax gluten free granola. Topped with chocolate protein, bananas, strawberry, hemp seeds and peanut butter), and bowls made with additional bases, including the green base, and the spirulina base, Kaia Bowls has something for everyone. You’ll also find smoothies like the Big Kahuna (A healthy, delicious and refreshing blend of acai, strawberry, banana, coconut milk).

“Kaia Bowls mission is to deliver healthy, great tasting alternatives to our customers, whether it is for a quick snack, a delicious bowl, or a complete meal alternative,” says the Kaia Bowls website. “We will execute our mission with exceptional service and deliver our products in a relaxed-chic eating environment. The values of Kaia Bowls are respect, honesty, passion, and service-to-others and reflects our broader company commitment to our customers and the community.”
