Formerly home to a Wendy’s restaurant, the building at 5658 Gall Blvd. in Zephyrhills is about to undergo a transformation. According to coverage by the Tampa Bay Business Journal, this former Wendy’s will get a new life as a bakery created by Bauducco Foods.
“The Brazilian food manufacturer is growing its presence in Zephyrhills with plans for a drive-thru bakery,” the Business Journal coverage says.
Bauducco has locations across the globe, including a food manufacturing site at 40334 Sixth Avenue in Zephyrhills, which was welcomed by the city earlier this year.
“A new chapter begins in #OurZephyrhills as Bauducco, the internationally recognized bakery brand, has officially opened its largest U.S. manufacturing facility right here in Z-Hills!” said a post by the City of Zephyrhills published to Facebook this summer. “For more than 75 years, Bauducco has delighted families around the world with its iconic Panettone, wafers, cookies, and baked goods. Today, that tradition continues right here in Zephyrhills. This milestone represents more than a new facility – it means hundreds of quality job opportunities, continued investment in our community, and another major step forward in the advancement of our City of Zephyrhills – Government Industrial Corridor.”
Now, the brand will cross another milestone in Zephyrhills, opening its first U.S. restaurant location in July 2027.
