This week, the Tampa Bay Business Journal reported on the debut of LA Fitness’s new Elevate concept, which has launched at 2170 E. Fowler Ave., breaking the news that this new premium gym concept, which has been debuting around the country, will expand in the Tampa Bay area. The LA Fitness location at 301 S. Dale Mabry Hwy. will be converted to the Elevate brand: an upgrade with an expected price tag of $2 million.

The precise details on the Dale Mabry location have yet to be revealed, but coverage by Tampa Bay Business & Wealth describes amenities available at the new East Fowler Avenue location:

“Located at 2170 E. Fowler Ave. in the University Area, the facility includes a dedicated Reformer Pilates studio, a HYROX functional training area and LIFT, an expanded free-weight section equipped with a Rogue Rig system, Olympic benches and lifting platforms. The gym also offers specialized lower-body training equipment, cardio machines, personal training and instructor-led group fitness classes.”

“If you are unfamiliar with the name, ‘LA Fitness Elevate’ is the parent company’s new premium evolution of the traditional LA Fitness club,” says coverage of a planned location in Sachse, Texas. “The upgraded Elevate model combines modern training equipment, dedicated recovery zones, wellness amenities, and a high-end interior design into one elevated health club experience.”

Details on the South Dale Mabry plans and timeline for conversion have not yet been revealed.
