This time last year, What Now reported on plans for Fresh Kitchen to launch its new flagship location in South Tampa, and as of last month, it is officially open at 1719 W Kennedy Blvd.!

But, for a brand with well over a dozen different restaurants spread across Central Florida, South Florida, and the Tampa/Sarasota markets, more growth can always be expected. What Now Orlando reported in May, for example, on a new Fresh Kitchen planned for Winter Park, and now word is out about another location on the way to the greater Tampa Bay region.

A new Fresh Kitchen will open in Brandenton, at 7105 FL-64, joining the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour, according to the Fresh Kitchen website.

“In 2019, Costco became the first store to open at the Marketplace at Heritage Harbour. Since then, there’s been lots of activity as restaurants and retailers followed,” said coverage by the Tampa Bay Times. “They include Target, Hobby Lobby, Seasons 52, CAVA, LongHorn Steakhouse, Academy Sports + Outdoors, Miller’s Ale House and Panda Express. Whole Foods, Cold Stone Creamery, Lucky Goat Coffee Co., Qdoba Mexican Eats, Mister O1 Extraordinary Pizza and Chick-fil-A are some of the planned future tenants in the plaza.”

Fresh Kitchen’s proven menu centers a build-your-own approach to bowls. There are proteins to choose from, including Almond Baked Chicken, Roasted Salmon, and Herb Grilled Steak; and they’re added to bases like Coconut Ginger Rice and Cauliflower Potato Mash, and topped with veggies like Golden Spice Chickpeas and Lemon Garlic Broccoli—plus plenty of add-ons and sauces.

“What started as a passion project quickly became something bigger,” says a the Fresh Kitchen site, telling the brand’s origin story. “Lines out the door. New FK restaurants opening in new communities. Millions of bowls. Millions of smiles. Millions of guests filling up on good food and good vibes. And while our impact has grown beyond what we ever imagined, one thing has never changed: our commitment to incredible, clean, scratch-made food…and to the communities we’re so grateful to serve.”
