Located at 150 California Blvd in Davenport, by Pizzano’s Pizza & Grinders at the intersection with US Highway 27, Pistacho’s Bakery and Cake is a food truck serving up sandwiches, empanadas, and pastries sweet and savory. Pistacho’s boasts 4.3-star rating on Google.
“First time going there as I was driving by,” says one five-star review. “I decided to order some empanadas they were really good hot and crispy. I’ll definitely come back.”
“The best place in town!” says another.
Now, the brand looks to be preparing to open in a new, permanent home. Pistacho’s Bakery and Cake LLC submitted plan review paperwork for a Pistacho’s Bakery and Cake restaurant opening at 45589 US-27.
Pistacho’s fans wouldn’t have to travel far to find this new location as it’s situated only about 5 minutes south on US-27 from the food truck’s spot. The location in question is part of Ridgeview Plaza, a shopping center that’s also home to 1845 Tap House.
What Now reached out on Tuesday to owner Ricardo Ramos to inquire about plans for a Pistacho’s brick-and-mortar. Ramos was not immediately available for comment. It’s therefore unknown whether the brick-and-mortar location would replace the food truck or function as a separate, additional location.
