This past Independence Day, Tractor Supply Co. opened its fifth location in Marion County: it’s now offering the chain’s selection of goods and supplies for rural living at 115 Bahia Ave Place.

It was noted, as news of the opening broke this summer, that Tractor Supply Co. had even bigger plans for the area.

“As the Silver Springs Shores location launches, newly updated development documents reveal specific details about the company’s next expansion project in northwest Ocala, officially referred to as ‘Tractor Supply Blitchton,’” said coverage on Ocala-News.com.

Launching its first store in Minot, North Dakota, in 1938, Tractor Supply Co. has expanded all over the United States, with locations in 49 states. It is “the largest operator of rural lifestyle retail stores in the United States and [we] are committed to being the most dependable supplier of basic maintenance products to home, land, pet and animal owners.”

Ocala-News.com reports that submitted plans are for a “standalone building modeled after the company’s ‘G+ Prototype’ layout and the main retail building will span exactly 21,702 square feet.”

Outdoor amenities would include a 20,000-square-foot outdoor display area, along with a live goods area.
