Ontario-based Indian restaurant Punjabi Haveli is opening a new location in Scarborough. The brand is planning a restaurant at 1780 Markham Road in Scarborough, according to Insauga.
This location will mark the fourth spot for the brand, joining two existing restaurants in Brampton and one in Etobicoke.
The team announced on Aug. 28 that they are entering the final stages of construction at the Scarborough location, according to a social media post.
Punjabi Haveli celebrates Punjabi heritage and cooking methods.
“Founded by a family passionate about preserving the rich flavors of Punjab, we bring you an authentic dining experience that bridges the old and the new,” the website states. “At Punjabi Haveli, every dish tells a story. Our traditional recipes, passed down through generations, capture the essence of Punjab’s rich cultural tapestry. From the smoky aroma of our tandoori creations to the comforting embrace of our slow-cooked curries, each bite is a journey to the heart of Punjab.”
The menu, which is 100% vegetarian, is known for items such as the noodle tikki burger, samosas, chaat and street food such as spring rolls and masala fries.
