After nearly a dozen years in Texas, Saurab Bhatia is finally bringing a taste of his hometown to the Houston area. A longtime fan of Singas Famous Pizza, a New York-born brand known for its personal pies and crave-worthy sauces, Bhatia is preparing to open not one, but two locations, which marks the brand’s official Texas debut.
“I grew up eating Singas in New York,” Bhatia said. “For me being in Texas for almost 12 years, and whenever I went to New York for work, I’d bring 10-12 half-cooked frozen pizzas back with me.” That same half-cooked option will now be available to local customers as well, allowing guests to take pies home and finish them in their own ovens. This unique touch is a standard offering for the brand and surely will be loved by Houstianians as well.
The first of the two new restaurants will open in Katy at 25830 Westheimer Parkway, Suite 325, followed closely by a second in Houston at 10758 Cypress Creek Parkway. Bhatia shared that the Katy location is already nearing completion, with Cypress moving quickly behind it.
In addition to importing the signature Singas flavor, Bhatia is working to ensure the menu is accessible to more of the surrounding communities. “We’re working to offer all Halal for the area’s customers,” he added, noting that menu inclusivity will be a key part of the launch.
Bhatia holds the rights to expand Singas across the Houston market and has already set his sights on Stafford for 2026. For now, his focus is on getting the Katy and Cypress locations up and running, with both expected to be fully operational by Summer 2025. Katy will mark a major milestone as not just the first in the Houston area, but the very first Singas Famous Pizza to open in the entire state of Texas.
