A retail grocery heavy-hitter is getting ready to perform a hat trick in Montgomery County. Sprouts Farmers Market will soon begin construction on a new Rockville location, with plans to open next year, reports Store Reporter.
The beloved chain will be the anchor store for the upcoming Loehmann’s Plaza redevelopment at 5200-5296 Randolph Road. Sprouts does not have an official opening date for its new Rockville storefront, however it is on track to be customer-ready by late 2027.
Sprouts already has one Montgomery County location open at Burtonsville Crossing with another in development in Gaithersburg as part of the Lakeforest redevelopment.
Founded in 2002, Sprouts has become a grocery favorite for shoppers across 24 states, thanks to its commitment to bringing the quality sustainability of a farmer’s market to a retail environment. The website encourages shoppers to “think of Sprouts as all of the very best parts of a real farmers market under one roof, open every day of the week. With our commitment to value in every department, and knowledgeable and friendly team members, we’re confident that once you shop Sprouts you’ll think different is good too.”
