According to real estate data acquired by What Now Denver, the popular restaurant, bar, and music venue Ophelia’s will undergo renovations, which will include a rearrangement of booths to allow for improved views of the stage.

According to its official website, Ophelia’s is located in a historic Victorian brownstone that was once a brothel, sex shop, and peep show and “now flaunts its sultry beginnings in a style both cheeky and sex positive.” Ophelia’s occupies the entire first floor and basement space in the three-story Airedale Building.

Aside from killer shows and DJ sets, Ophelia’s also offers delectable gastrobrothel fare and specialty cocktails. Highlights on the menu include the Monkfish Cioppino (mussels, shrimp, clams roasted tomato, portato, house sourdough, smoked almond romesco, and saffron broth) and the Crispy Chicken & Sweet Potato Waffles (miso bacon, apple butter, superfood slaw, and chili honey), ideally paired with a refreshing handcrafted cocktail such as the Easy Eight (rye, ginger, peach, lemon, bitters) or the Seeking Seka (mezcal, cranberry shrub, lime, basil).

Ophelia’s will remain closed during renovations, which will largely involve rearranging the booths and tables around the open floor stage to enhance views. The project will improve the venue’s overall function and flow. An official reopening date has not yet been announced.
