Located at 2100 Old Highway 17 N. in North Myrtle Beach, Tidewater Grill & Bistro is a “locally loved North Myrtle Beach restaurant serving fresh seafood, hand-cut steaks, homemade favorites, daily lunch specials, craft cocktails, and Sunday Prime Rib in a relaxed, polished atmosphere.”
The restaurant was founded in 2015 and, in 2018, ownership passed to then-employee, now-proprietor Sarah Arnold.
“It has been great,” Arnold told What Now in a phone conversation last week. “We’ve become a stronghold in the community, offering a lot of things that are unique to the area around North Myrtle Beach.”
That includes dishes like Salmon Wellington and Crab-Stuffed Portabello Mushroom, part of a range of coastal seafood and fresh fish offerings you’ll find on the Tidewater Grill menu.
Soon, Tidewater Grill & Bistro will move into its next new chapter. With the opening early next year of the Exchange at Sunset Grove, a new residential complex currently under construction at 1799 Hwy 17 N. not far from Tidewater Grill’s current home, the restaurant will relocate into a space that will double its size.
“We’re anticipating late spring or early summer of next year for opening,” Arnold told What Now. “We’re excited to have a bit more space. We’re going to be enlarging our bar, which will probably triple in size.”
As in its current home, Tidewater Grill will also feature a private dining room. The menu will feature local favorites with an expansion enabled by the additional space, particularly in the form of new raw bar offerings.
Even as Tidewater Grill expands, Arnold says, its focus remains on providing the local community with the same great food and service.
“We are still going to be focusing on our community more than anything,” said Arnold. “We’re keeping the essence of what Tidewater Grill is.”
