With restaurants in Charlotte and Atlanta, Salted Melon Market Eatery is a restaurant where you’ll find that “healthy never looked so good.” As the brand continues its expansion in the Southeast, Salted Melon is now preparing to make its South Carolina debut with a new location in Mount Pleasant.
“We couldn’t be more excited to be opening in Mount Pleasant, and on Coleman Boulevard in particular,” owner Thomas Coker told What Now in an email conversation this week. “We think the surrounding neighborhoods, and everyone who already knows and loves this stretch, will find a lot to enjoy at Salted Melon.”
The restaurant, which will open at Coleman Boulevard and Erckmann Drive, is expected to make its debut next spring. Coker says the design is still in the works, but guests should expect a space that is “bright, vibrant, and full of energy,” with indoor seating for about 80, plus another 30 in a brand-new outdoor patio.
At the Mount Pleasant location, you’ll find favorites like the Spicy Caesar Wrap and the Perfect Pesto Caprese—bestsellers, Coker says, adding that his personal favorites are the Breakfast Burrito and the Street Car Bowl (Grilled flank steak, cilantro rice, black beans, roasted tomatoes, red bell peppers, sweet corn, avocado poblano dressing). A great selection of smoothies and coffees completes the picture.
Salted Melon also offers catering services for small gatherings and corporate events.
“We hope Salted Melon will be the go-to spot for those living and working in the area,” said Coker. “We want to provide a place that people go to multiple times a week or daily. Whether it’s for a quick coffee, lunch with friends, or a post workout smoothie – we have you covered.”
Salted Melon Market & Eatery is targeting a Spring 2027 opening.
