Formerly home to Burger King, the building at 2636 Columbia Hwy. N. in Aiken looks to be getting new life. According to coverage by the Post and Courier, a new Taco Bell location from franchisee Pacific Bells is in the works at that address.

The new Taco Bell would be situated near Exit 22 on I-20, joining restaurants like Hardee’s and Bojangles.

Known as “the largest Mexican-inspired concept in the world,” Taco Bell has more than 9000 restaurants in more than 35 countries and territories.

“At Taco Bell, we’ve had innovation on our mind since Glen Bell started serving tacos at the first location in 1962 in Downey, California,” says the Yum! Brands website. “Since then, we’ve grown to be a culture-centric, lifestyle brand that provides craveable, affordable Mexican-inspired food with bold flavors. Not only do we provide breakthrough value, we offer quality ingredients and are the first QSR restaurant to offer American Vegetarian Association (AVA)-certified menu items.”

Current featured items from the Taco Bell menu include Double Dipping Burritos with proteins like Steak and Slow-Roasted Chicken, the Sriracha Chicken Crunchadilla, the Diablo Ranch Crispy Chicken Crunchwrap Slider, and Creamy Sriracha Chicken Nacho Fries.
