Joe Cintron, Mark Tafoya, and Aidan Fogarty bring a combined 70 years of restaurant experience to the new project they plan to open at 10 Delancey St. on the Lower East Side. Tafoya and Fogarty are the team behind Hell’s Kitchen Hibernia sports bar, which they opened in 2008. In 2013, the two opened The Winslow, a popular eatery and gin tavern on East 14th St. Cintron, in turn, was the general manager of The Central Bar until its closing this year. The new tavern on Delancey St. will replace One Mile House.

A liquor license application obtained by What Now New York indicates the three will open a new tavern that appears to be currently unnamed. According to the same application, 10 Delancey St. will serve pub fare in the form of tacos, fajitas, and burgers.  A sampling of starters include buttermilk chicken fingers, hand cut fries, chips and salsa, and tostada dip.

At 10 Delancey St, you’ll be able to dink and dine indoors, as well as on the front sidewalk and in the rear yard. Upon entering from the sidewalk, patrons will be greeted by a 48 foot, U-shaped bar. The tavern will seat 54 people and be open from 4PM to 4AM, daily, although the rear yard will close at 10PM.

No word yet on when 10 Delancey St. will open or what it will be called, but it appears the eatery is currently in the liquor licensing process, and it’s certainly safe to say we’re all pretty excited to learn more about this new spot.
