Capri Express has signed a lease for a new location in Lemont, Ill. The Italian restaurant will open in a 1,500-square-foot space in Lemont Village Square, according to real estate documents.
Capri Express has opened four locations since first launching in 1985, its website says. Currently, only one of them — a location at County Line Square Mall in Burr Ridge — is serving customers.
The menu at Capri Express features an extensive menu of classic Italian dishes, from antipasti like eggplant rolls, bruschetta and grilled seafood to cannoli and tiramisu for dessert. In between, it offers more than three dozen pasta entrees made with chicken, veal, seafood or vegetables — and, of course, pizza. The restaurant also offers catering.
This is a developing story. What Now Chicago has reached out to Capri Express for more information.
[Editor’s note: an earlier version of this article listed Phil Salamone as the owner of the Lemont location. Eliana Pavlopoulos is the owner.]
This is NOT correct information. With respect to Mr. Salamone, Capri Xpress in Lemont is not affiliated with the Capri Express in Burr ridge and Mr. Salamone is not the owner of the Capri Xpress in Lemont. Before you write an article you should really get your story straight. This is nowhere near true. Especially the part where you say that Capri Express has opened 4 locations since 1985 and only one is currently serving customers. That is false. The fact that you can sit here and make such obscene statements clearly shows that you, my dear, have not done enough research on this subject. Next time, with all due respect, I ask for you to get your facts straight before posting articles pertaining to peoples life’s and livelihood. This is False information and I respectfully ask that you take it off of this page.
Thank you,
The rightful owner of Capri Xpress in Lemont
