We’ve been waiting patiently for months for updates on the new Coronado establishment called Jolie. The butchery and specialty cheese shop is moving into new digs in Coronado. The space at 126 Orange Ave was formerly held by the Mexican Village Cantina.

The project is led by Chef Jason Witzl from Orange County. Witzl is also owner of Mother’s Restaurant Group. Jolie will be added to the Mother’s Group alongside Long Beach spots Ellie’s and Ginger’s.

Witzl is known for curating menus with ingredients sourced from other passionate food growers, local butchers, and fishermen. Jolie’s is expected to further showcase carefully selected meats, seafood, cheeses from around the world, and wine for pairing.

Jolie’s neighbors will include Nicky Rottens and Coronado Brewing Company. The restaurant is currently finalizing permits for construction. No opening date has been announced yet. Follow on Instagram for more info as it becomes available.
