North County food truck, El Cubano, are readying their first brick and mortar restaurant. Recently announced on social media, they’ll be joining as a tenant of The Island Carlsbad. The restaurant is listed on The Island’s Website, soon to serve up “the best of Cuba to-go.”
What Now San Diego confirmed with Owner Dayron Mazon they’re in their initial stages of planning. El Cubano have operated with stops around Carlsbad, and working through pandemic challenges by offering delivery and catering services.
Their food truck currently serves up Cuban classics like Croquetas, the Cubano Sandwich, and authentic plates like Picadillo, or Ropa Vieja. El Cubano will be joining other on-site eateries like Jose’s Taco Shop, Punjabi Tandoor, and Pizza by the Slice.
