Sauced Pizzeria is putting final touches on their new spot on Ingraham Street. Calling themselves the “new kids on the block,” they will take over the former Marino’s Italian Restaurant spot in Pacific Beach which closed in October 2021 after a long run under the family name.

The transition to the Sauced brand will continue to be a family affair. Sauced Owner Christina Cunningham has pulled together an all-star crew to open the business under a new name but in a familiar setting and with many Marino regulars.

The new line up of staff brings in Cunningham’s nephew and Executive Chef Chad Fields. Their serving staff includes former Marino team members that are longtime members of the community.

Expect traditional Italian cuisine, plus gluten-free and vegan pizza and pasta options. Sauced will also serve up local wines and craft beer to pair with your new favorite dishes.

Sauced Pizzeria is planning a soft opening for VIPs on December 1st. A grand opening date for the general public has not been announced at this time. Get to know the new team on Facebook
