Chula Tacos, the experts in Mexican Street Tacos, will soon move into a 2,400 square foot restaurant space not far from their original location. The new spot will land on Federal Boulevard and 47th Street.
Their mantra is “Tacos are Essential,” and we couldn’t agree more. The no-frills corner stop for authentic Mexican food serves Tijuana-style tacos with handmade corn tortillas. A must-have are their signature Kekas, a large quesadilla filled with your choice of meat.
They also serve Birria with a side of consume broth, Carne Asade Mulitas, and Champurrado. When you visit, make sure you commit to the time as the food is made with love and tortillas are made fresh.
Owner Rigo Munoz Jr. confirmed to What Now San Diego that we can expect the new location to open March 2022. For now, visit their location at 4301 Market Street for essential street tacos.
