A new restaurant called Madam Bonnie’s is in its building phase in the heart of downtown. They’ve snagged a prime spot at the corner of Market and Fourth Avenue, in the former location of Sushi Lounge.

The block which serves as their new home is undergoing a revitalization, with Madam Bonnie’s entering the scene and The Broker’s Building across the street receiving a full transformation. Once finished, The Broker’s Building at 422 Market Street will house CommonGrounds Workspace and some ground-floor retailers.

We don’t know too much about the restaurant concept from their current online presence. The spot has new gold-trimmed window signage in an art-deco design that promises good food and classic rotisserie. Outside, you’ll find a small enclosed area reserved for future outdoor seating.

Madam Bonnie’s have made their debut on Instagram to tease an upcoming opening announcement. What Now San Diego reached out for details and will update with news as it becomes available.
