Cuties Confections out of Santee is looking to open their first brick and mortar bakeshop in East County. The location is in the works, soon to be confirmed for a Lakeside debut. The bakery has plans to take over a now closed taco shop and transform it into Cuties Confections.

Bay Area native and Owner Catie Delmar has been creating her own versions of sweet treats since childhood. Since training professionally in pastry school and relocating to San Diego, she now shares her baking gift with other Santee residents at the Wednesday Farmers Market.

“I tweak all my favorite recipes into what I would want to eat. Everyone who tries agrees, it’s love at first bite,” shares Delmar.

Cuties Confections sells a variety of banana breads, with rotating flavors, adding in chocolate or nuts. Her most popular item is Zucchini Bread, a family recipe, and her Apple Coffee Cake is becoming a quick sell-out item.

Delmar also creates custom items and specialty cakes from birthdays to weddings. This month, you can grab a Goodie Box to bring to your holiday gatherings filled with fudge in flavors like espresso, peanut butter, and candy cane.

Cuties Confections Bakery is in its initial stages of planning and does not have an opening date yet. For now, feed your sweet tooth by visiting the Santee Farmers Market on Wednesdays. Visit the Website and follow on Instagram for updates and directions for special orders.
