Empress Restaurant Group will introduce a new breakfast and brunch concept called The Hen House on Ingraham Street in the Crown Point neighborhood. The restaurant will take over the space of the former Empress Restaurant, Wokou Ramen, which closed in Fall 2021.

The Empress Family of Restaurants include Death By Tequila in Encinitas and Leap Coffee in Escondido. The investment group specializes in growing boutique restaurant concepts and according to the Hen House Instagram account, they’re willing to put all their eggs in one basket as they add the female-forward brand to their portfolio.

The new concept is said to merge Breakfast, Brunch, and female empowerment. Inspired by the mama bird, their imaging leans into light and fun brunch-centric culture, Mimosas, and seeks to, “Grab Life by the Huevos.”

The Hen House say they’ll be posting sneak peeks of their menu on Instagram but reports say the restaurant isn’t due to hatch until Summer 2022
