White Rice Opening New Spot in Normal Heights

Popular Filipino Eatery Will Move Into Adams Avenue Building

Chef Phillip Esteban announced big plans for 2022 with a new location of White Rice headed to Normal Heights. The eatery by OpenGym Hospitality Collective will move into a repurposed 1930s era building on Adams Avenue, adjacent to Vons and Rite Aid. 

White Rice currently operates at Liberty Station Public Market, with regular pop-ups by chefs and restaurants paying special attention to honoring Filipino culture through food. Serving up, “Rice Bowls for All,” their Pork Sisig and Ube Pandesal are popular menu items.

According to their Instagram announcement, the new spot will offer the full White Rice menu along with new additions and beer and wine. 

White Rice will join the Normal Heights neighborhood in front of the stylish new Orchid apartment complex by The Society of Master Craftsmen design firm. No word yet on when White Rice will open their new location. Follow along for updates via Instagram
