The Taco Stand is finally ready to open doors in the Convoy neighborhood on Monday, January 31st. This will be the 8th location for The Taco Stand and the 5th in San Diego. You’ll find the other three in Miami, Orange County, and Las Vegas.
President of Shōwa Hospitality Julian Hakim tells What Now San Diego you’ll find the same menu as the other spots, they try to maintain consistency in delivering the same Baja-style tacos and burritos at each location.
As for entering the busy Convoy neighborhood, “We think we’ll be a nice addition to the area and offer some diversity to the daytime food options for those working at the nearby businesses,” says Hakim. Plus, tacos are a great late-night food, night owls can find them open until Midnight on weekends.
They’ll join the shopping center at Convoy and Opportunity, next to O’Brien’s Pub and RAKIRAKI Ramen. True to the name, the small space will offer a Mexican taco stand experience with limited counter seating inside.
Much like many restaurants are currently facing, The Taco Stand continues to fill staffing needs to accommodate customers at the new location. Find more info and get updates on their Convoy grand opening by following on Instagram.
