A Teriyaki Madness was proposed at 6121 Sunrise Blvd in Citrus Heights earlier this year. The location was originally anticipated to open this summer but faced some delays due to the permitting process taking longer than anticipated. Thankfully, the popular teriyaki franchise is still coming, just a little bit later in the year.

Franchisee Jasvir Deol told What Now Sacramento in an email that he now hopes to open sometime this October. Deol is a serial entrepreneur who owns a laundromat, a car wash, and a Mountain Mike’s Pizza Franchise location.

“After meeting the Teriyaki Madness team and watching them grow over the last few years, I am ready to jump on board! I am growing my portfolio with a quality food concept and great communication from the TMAD team,” Doel said in a blog post on the official Teriyaki Madness website.

The Citrus Height location is taking over the former Starbucks space in the center, next to Barns & Nobel and a few other businesses, providing ample foot traffic. “I liked the location because of all the traffic that all the neighboring storefronts bring and a gym behind us as we lean more towards healthier meals,” Deol said in the email.

When asked about future plans, Deol stated that he is not looking at other markets just yet and would rather see how the Citrus Heights location performs.
