Bocado could soon vacate its West Midtown home of 12 years, at 887 Howell Mill Road NW Suite 100, if a new tenant wants in. Owner Brian Lewis has asked his landlord to “re-lease” the space, according to an advert seeking a new tenant. “Suite 100 is currently rented to Bocado Restaurant and is available for lease with a 30-day notice,” the listing, posted by Matt Rohrig of Cartel Properties, states.
Lewis plans to relocate Bocado in 2021, the restauranter told What Now Atlanta in an email Tuesday by way of a prepared statement. “We’re planning to move Bocado to a new space, but the new location is unconfirmed at this time,” Lewis said. “We’re excited to announce when there are more details to share!”
Bocado sits in a single-story commercial strip that has been integrated into 8West, a new ground-up mixed-use from Atlantic Capital Properties, Gateway Ventures, and Cartel. Bocado’s 3,078-square-foot space butts up to the 8West leasing office and shares a courtyard with the new development.
Bocado in October celebrated its twelfth anniversary. Lewis has since opened sister eatery Bocado Burger which debuted with a location in Avalon — the restaurant is now offering franchise opportunities. Lewis also opened Al Forno’s in Midtown in 2017 but has since closed the pizzeria.
