Tamla Pierre-Taylor is opening up their third location for Neyow’s Creole Cafe — a restaurant that got its start in New Orleans — right here in Atlanta at 131 Walker St, in Castleberry Hill.  “It’s like having another baby,” Pierre-Taylor told What Now Atlanta (WNA). “You’re excited to see something new and see how it will turn out.”

The Atlanta Neyow’s Creole Cafe will basically be the same concept as the New Orleans place. “When you’re here, you’ll know you’re in Neyow’s,” the owner said. The people of Atlanta, who are already fully aware of Neyow’s Creole Cafe, will still come in and enjoy good food and good drinks. “We have a large Atlanta base. They come to us every time they’re in town.” At the same time, Pierre-Taylor is curious to see how Atlanta fully accepts them into the neighborhood.

Neyow’s Creole Cafe is currently in the permitting stage of things for the location at 131 Walker St, which was part of a redevelopment project. Carl Northrop of Black Coffee ATL (another tenant moving into the development) confirmed with WNA Wednesday that a shell was complete, but their Suite 106 space is currently under construction.

As for Neyow’s Creole Cafe, Pierre-Taylor doesn’t quite know when to expect its doors to open.

Correction: an earlier version of this article misspelled Tamla Pierre-Taylor’s name. We regret the error.
