A new rendering by architectural visualization firm Lifang shows plans for the Star Metals Hotel taking shape in Atlanta’s West Midtown neighborhood as construction of the Star Metals project’s other components near a close.

Led by project developer The Allen Morris Co., the Star Metals project consists of 409 luxury apartments, over 200,000-square-feet of office space, and 60,000-square feet of retail, along with a 176-key hotel. As pre-leasing for the project’s residential and office portions ramped up, the developer was holding off on a start to hotel construction amid the onset of the coronavirus pandemic in the spring, Bisnow reported at the time.

The Allen Morris Co. didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment on its latest plans for the hotel development.

Along with the project’s two other main buildings, the hotel will rise along Howell Mill Road. It is specifically slated to rise at the corner of Howell Mill Road and Edgehill Avenue, alongside the 14-story Star Metals Offices building, with both located across the street from the nine-story Star Metals Residences.

Both commercial office and residential leasing for the project are well underway. Coworking company Spaces signed up to lease about 56,000 square feet of office space in 2018, with Social Entertainment Ventures agreeing last year to lease 10,000 square feet. In addition, pre-leasing of the project’s apartments began in May, with The Allen Morris Co. receiving its certificate of occupancy in September.
