It looks like neighborhood steakhouse Nowak’s is branching out. According to a job listing on Craigslist, The Morningside restaurant has plans to open a second location and a ghost kitchen and is currently in the market for an Executive Sous Chef.

But that’s not all. According to the same listing, owner and New Orleans native Blaiss Nowak is also planning to open an entirely new restaurant. Nowak is the son of Hal’s The Steakhouse owner Hal Nowak, and worked in the hospitality industry for years (including bussing tables and dishwashing at Hal’s) before opening Nowak’s in 2018.

Nowak declined to comment on any of his upcoming plans, and no new locations or opening dates have been announced, but one thing’s for sure: Nowak learned from the best of the best, and whatever he’s got coming is bound to be as juicy as his steaks.
