A new Dunkin’ Donuts location is coming soon to Peoria, at a newly constructed development on the northeast corner of 83rd and Olive Avenues. According to Construction Journal, the build is scheduled to begin in Q4 of 2022, which implies an opening will happen in 2023.
Additionally, the record suggests that this Dunkin’ location will also house a Baskin-Robbins. Inspire Brands, the company that also owns Arby’s, Buffalo Wild Wings, Jimmy John’s and Sonic, acquired Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin-Robbins in 2020 for $11.3 billion. They’ve been building multi-branded units, combining the donut chain and 31 flavors under one roof in order to drive more traffic into stores throughout the whole day.
The franchisee for this incoming Peoria store is ABDD Arizona LLC, a subsidiary of Southpaw, which is a Connecticut-based private equity fund that owns and operates multiple Dunkin’ Donuts and Taco Bell stores throughout New York, New Jersey, Arizona, and Kentucky. Representatives for Southpaw did not immediately respond to requests for comment regarding this new Dunkin’ location.
But so far, they are the only confirmed tenants at the Trellis at Rountree Ranch development that will be built in Peoria. Stay tuned.
