Summit Coffee, the Davidson-based coffee-focused franchise, is getting ready to open three locations, including a new site coming to Ballantyne.

The company was recently announced as a new tenant coming to the upcoming Ballantyne development, called “Bowl at Ballantyne,” according to Charlotte Observer. Franchise owner Anthony Rossi will open the 800-square-foot location across from Ballantyne Hotel between Chase Bank and Bank of America. The new Summit Coffee is expected to open in July 2023. Other restaurants coming to the development include First Watch, Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen, and Honeysuckle Gelato.

Bowl at Ballantyne will feature over 90,000 square feet of retail, a second apartment tower, and new roads. Olde Mecklenburg Brewery also announced a second location coming to the area early next year. This will be the ninth Summit Coffee in the Charlotte area, with more on the way.

“We chose Ballantyne because we are residents of Ballantyne,” Rossi said in a statement.

Summit Coffee is expanding quickly throughout the greater Charlotte area. At the beginning of the year, the company announced on Instagram a new location in Cornelius, on NC 115, near Food Lion and Habitat for Humanity, first reported by CharloteFive. This location has no exact opening date, but social media notes it will be sometime this year.

Summit Coffee also has a new 2,000-square-foot location coming to Eastover, according to the company’s website. Axios reports the new site will be located at 343 Providence Road, moving into the former home of Buttercup Gifts and Stationary.
