Harriet’s Hamburgers, the burger restaurant in Optimism Hall, is getting ready to open a new brick-and-mortar in Ballantyne at 15119 Bowl St.
The company’s third location is the newest tenant announced for the Bowl at Ballantyne, according to the Charlotte Observer. Harriet’s Hamburgers is expected to open in Spring 2024, along with Fly Kid Fly, both concepts under the Durban Group. The group, along with the owners of the Plaid Penguin and Papi Queso, will first open a second location of Harriet’s Hamburgers in Concord in late 2023, according to the company’s website.
The two tenants will join several other eateries coming to the Bowl at Ballantyne, which is also opening next year. The development also expects to welcome Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, Drybar, Honeysuckle Gelato, and Rooster’s Wood-Fired Kitchen in the coming months. The 20-acre project will feature more than 90,000 square feet of retail and a second residential apartment tower. The Bowl at Ballantyne will be a cultural magnet for the region, attracting diners, shoppers, and music fans from across Charlotte and beyond.
When the new Harriet’s Hamburgers opens next year, customers can expect Charlotte’s ‘Craveable” Burger, made with 100% premium black Angus beef and artisanal cheese. The burgers are never frozen and paired with crispy, golden fries. The restaurant also offers a handful of signature sauces, such as garlic rosemary aioli, and a kid’s menu. The simplicity has proven to be a hit as the company prepares to open two new locations in the next year.
