The northwest corner of the intersection between West Spring Mountain Road and South Durango Drive will soon be home to a new all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant. Recently submitted licensing paperwork shows Smile Shota opening at 8610 Spring Mountain Road.

What Now confirmed the news with a representative of the restaurant on Thursday. The representative said the restaurant would offer a sushi buffet, as well as a la carte items and appetizers.

“We’re also looking to do some upscale desserts,” the representative said, “which will be included in the buffet.”

Further details on the menu are not yet available. The representative said Smile Shota does not yet have a projected opening date.

Opening at Spring Mountain and Durango, the new AYCE sushi spot will be joining a food and beverage community that includes fast casual restaurants like Arby’s and Dunkin, along with restaurants like Mimosas Gourmet and Sicily’s Pizza.
