A new Japanese breakfast fusion cafe called Ino Cafe is getting ready to debut in Chula Vista, located at 1774 Metro Avenue, Suite B4-B.

The company, led by President and CEO Gem Lei, recently applied for a liquor license to open on the ground floor of The Avalyn at Otay Ranch. Customers can expect a comforting eatery with plenty of delicious food options. Ino Cafe should have no problems getting customers in the door, being closely situated near The Marketplace, Millenia Town Center, and Otay Ranch Town Center. There is no exact opening date, but it will likely be sometime early next year.

When the new cafe opens, customers will have plenty of choices between 7 am and 3 pm. Ino Cafe will have several delicious flavors for French Toast, including creme brulee, strawberry cheesecake, apple crumble, and ube horchata. For appetizers, the cafe will have items such as truffle mac n cheese, baked brie, and more. The main courses will be priced between $10 to $15, including options such as a ‘Mochi-Mochi’ pancake plate, portabella panini, omu fried rice, and more. The new eatery was inspired by the owner’s comfort received by their dog.

“Ino, my loyal furry companion, has always been with me to make me feel light and warm during heavy stress-ridden days,” according to the company’s website. “A yearning from a past dream, as I laid with her, ignited my passion to cook and bake food in her likeliness. Immediately this gave me purpose and drive to comfort people around me that there is something more to life than a routine 9-5 or 7 pm-7 am job- there are no corners and dead ends but sometimes just loose ends that need to be strengthened. Thus, our company’s mission is to satisfy cravings at the most significant time of the day to give strength, motivation, and comfort while providing excellent customer service.”
