Trident Coffee, an online coffee specialist with two brick-and-mortars in San Diego County, is working on a new location in Pacific Beach at 4462 Mission Blvd #102.

The company’s third site will move into the former home of DRNK Coffee + Tea | Qwench Juice Bar, which recently closed its space only one block from the beach. Trident Coffee owner Eric Johnson recently submitted permits to the County of San Diego Environmental Health and Quality to open a new cafe. The application is still being processed. There is no exact timeline for this opening, but considering the turnaround rate of this area, it will likely open in early 2024.

Trident Coffee has two locations in San Diego in Coronado at 942 Orange Avenue and Imperial Beach at 536 13th Street, Site #6. On top of service San Diego from these two sites, the coffee shop has had its products sold in over 500 grocery stores nationwide. While the cafe will have several different food and drink options, the business takes pride in its cold brew coffee.

“With Trident Coffee, it’s always full steam ahead,” according to the company’s website. “Our nitro cold brews, crafted with conscious care, are an embodiment of flavor and wellness. Every batch is a pledge to responsibly source, to infuse every can with boundless energy, and to keep our promise to you: To Live Life Full Steam Ahead.”
