The Fishtown neighborhood will be scented with the smell of fresh, delicious cookies this autumn. Taylor Chip, a growing concept that prioritizes using healthier, natural ingredients, is opening a new location in the area this September.

The bakery will be holding the grand opening of its 1828 Frankford Avenue storefront on September 21. The Fishtown location is one of two Taylor Chip is opening in Philly this year; the other store is slated to open at 1807 Chestnut Street on September 14.

Sara and Doug Taylor started Taylor Chip in 2018. A press release provided to What Now Philadelphia explains the couple’s ethos and approach to their business, stating “Taylor Chip prides itself on healthy indulgence, differentiating its cookies by replacing Crisco with real butter and using no high-fructose corn syrup to create and deliver their dessert experience.”

In addition to serving delectable cookies, the Fishtown location will be scooping ice cream and pouring coffee in the Philadelphia storefronts.
