A new event venue is coming to Jacksonville, according to recent reporting in JBJ. 5 Jacksonville will soon bring music and fun to 1028 Park St.
Local readers may recognize the area as the home of another local venue, Rain Dogs, which will soon be closing and “essentially be replaced by the upcoming 5Jacksonville, operated by Nashville’s Marathon Live,” the JBJ says.
“The newly renovated entertainment space at the former Sun-Ray cinema will feature shiny new lights, comfortable seats and a glossy finish to welcome national artists. And where Rain Dogs ran from free to $15 for a show, the price at Five will certainly be steeper.”
According to the website, the venue’s first show is schedued for February 22.
