Tandoori Pizza, a pizzeria chain known for fusing Indian spices and classic Italian flavors, plans to debut a new outpost in San Jose, according to a recently submitted permit application.

Coming to 3350 Zanker Road, Unit 30, Tandoori will take over a spot formerly home to Paxti’s Pizza, near establishments such as Curry Up Now, Laksana Thai Cuisine, and Starbucks.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the franchisees behind the upcoming outpost — Karandeep Kaur and Sukhvinder Chagger — to inquire about the expansion, but they could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, based on operations at Tandoori outposts across the Bay Area, patrons can expect the menu to offer fusion pizzas topped with chili paneer, curried veggies, and chicken tikka, to name just a few options.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the chain, Tandoori was founded in 2015 by Tejinder Singh and has since expanded to eight locations across Dublin, Fremont, Mountain House, San Ramon, Sunnyvale, Tracy, Turlock, and Union City.

Kaur and Chagger haven’t announced an opening date yet, so follow Tandoori Pizza on Facebook and Instagram for updates.
