Bay Area pop-up Four Kings — known for dishing out Hong Kong and Canton region-inspired cuisine — plans to open a brick-and-mortar in San Francisco’s Chinatown, according to SF Eater.

Coming to 710 Commercial Street — taking over a 1,800-square-foot, two-floor space that was formerly home to Slurp Ramen — the eatery will land near Gears & Grapes, Good Luck Cafe & Deli, and R&G Lounge.

“We’re really excited for this opportunity,” Chef Mike Long — who owns the business alongside Chef Franky HoMillie Boonkokua, and Lucy Li — shares with the journal.

He continues, “Being in Chinatown, I feel like it’s a great location and it’s going to be a great addition to what the community already offers there. Being able to bring our vision, our food, hopefully, it’d be a welcomed addition.”

On the menu, locals can expect to find more of what Four Kings has become known for in the pop-up circuit — think dishes like fried squab, American Wagyu steak, and mapo spaghetti.

“It seems pretty quick that they found the space,” Li tells Eater, “but they’ve been working for 10-plus years. It just really feels like a culmination of their hard work and their dreams being realized.”

Four Kings is slated to open in early 2024. Follow the eatery on Instagram for updates in the meantime.
