Texas-born brand Torchy’s Tacos is working on a second location in Colorado Springs — this one on the east side of the city. The company has a 3015 N New Center Point store “coming soon”, its website states.

This new spot, in the Powers neighborhood of town, will be about 4,000 square feet and has a construction valuation of $500,000, according to Construction Journal. It is about 20 minutes away from the first Torchy’s Tacos to grace the Springs. That location, which opened in 2021, is in Northgate.

What began as a food truck has now grown into triple-digit locations in more than a dozen states. The brand’s eateries have a lively atmosphere, fun menu, and full bar, and use sustainable cutlery from 100% renewable resources.

Torchy’s is known for its “damn good tacos”, as well as its queso, salads, burritos, and Lil’ Nookies fried cookie balls. The establishment also has a large cocktail menu, from margaritas, palomas, and sangria to a number of beers.
