Davis-based concept Ali Baba Cafe plans to debut a new location in Berkeley, according to a recently submitted permit application.

Coming to 1805 Euclid Avenue, taking over a space formerly home to the Indian restaurant Bollywood Cafe, the eatery will land near establishments such as Banh Mi & Rolls Factory, Mind Coffee, and Mt. Agni.

The concept’s owner, Ali Moghaddam, tells What Now San Francisco that he has purchased the existing restaurant, Bollywood Cafe, and is currently applying for necessary permits.

Should the upcoming Berkeley outpost be modeled after the existing Ali Baba location in Davis, the menu will include breakfast items — such as a breakfast burrito stuffed with eggs, bacon, beef gyro, cheese, fries, honey, and tapatillo — sandwiches, salads, burgers, gyros, and platters.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
