According to a recent permit application, a new Asian-fusion eatery planning to offer ramen and boba tea is coming to Pleasanton.

Taking over a spot at 6544 Owens Drive B, Boomba Tea will land near establishments such as Black Bear Diner, In-N-Out Burger, and Starbucks.

Co-owner Allan Chan tells What Now Sacramento that he and his business partner Chris Quach had “contemplated joining an existing franchise but decided to start their own” — resulting in Boomba Tea. The two are also planning to open an outpost in Folsom before summer.

According to the report, locals will be able to choose from standard tapioca boba, brown sugar boba, and other “flavored popping jellies” — as well as have the option to top the teas off with “creme brulee” or “cheese foam.”

Food options will range from ramen to spam musubi and popcorn chicken.

An opening date for the upcoming Pleasanton location has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
